Ramadan is a month that a lot of Muslims look forward to. Besides finding the time to be close to God, Ramadan is the month of family gatherings, getting together with friends, Raya preparations, and many others. With a hectic schedule like that, you need to find the time to care for yourself first-hand.

Self-care is essential to keep your mind straight and healthy. Without it, you are going to feel all over the place during the day which is even worse when you have an empty stomach. So, how do you pamper yourself during Ramadan? Here are some simple self-care tips you can follow during the month of Ramadan.

1. REFLECT ON YOURSELF

During this holy month, now is the best time to reflect on yourself. Look back on what you have done and try to better yourself this month as it is said to bring your much rewards spiritually. Just take time out of your busy day and think back for your emotional and mental state.

2. DO NOT OVEREAT

We understand that you are hungry during hours of fasting without any food or beverages. However, that does not mean you should overeat during iftar. A lot of people eat too much as a way of revenge for eating after hours of fasting. Refrain yourself from that by not overeating to maintain a healthy and hearty diet.

3. DO EASY EXERCISES

Working out when fasting is not really the best idea because you are only going to tire yourself which will result in fatigue and wanting to drink or eat to recharge your body. That being said, it is still important to keep your body fit. So, how about you do some easy home exercises that are not too aggressive for you. A few squats, push-ups, jumping jacks are some examples that are easy to perform.
