Unveiling ‘BEAM’: A Journey of Light, Chemistry, & Evolution
According to Pledis Entertainment, the formidable duo posted a teaser image for the new single ‘BEAM’ signaling the birth of a powerful new unit. Set against a black-and-white palette, the teaser uses flickering light and shadows to reveal glimpses of the album’s imagery, creating a mysterious and captivating atmosphere.
‘BEAM’ represents the light emanating from HOSHI and WOOZI, their journey of self-love and originality. These two have been shining together since their trainee days, and now they’re bringing their unique energy to a full-fledged unit debut!
“As leaders of SEVENTEEN’s performance and vocal teams — and both born in 1996 — the two members are expected to showcase unmatched quality and chemistry as friends,” the agency said in a release.
Plus, they are coming back together with an official unit debut, 8 years after they showcased their chemistry through “Bring It”, a B-side track on SEVENTEEN’s 2nd studio album ‘TEEN, AGE.’
Widely recognized for their diverse interplay of units among the 13 members, SEVENTEEN has consistently expanded its musical spectrum with BSS (2018), JEONGHAN X WONWOO unit (2024) and now HOSHI X WOOZI unit. It continues SEVENTEEN’s tradition of unit releases, following BSS’s ‘TELEPARTY’ and JEONGHAN and WONWOO’s single album ‘THIS MAN’.
The pairing of HOSHI and WOOZI carries a profound significance as SEVENTEEN’s ‘mastermind duo,’ with HOSHI leading the performance unit, and WOOZI serving as the vocal unit’s leader and the band’s main producer.
